Session 1

The Science of Movement & Learning

Understand the neuroscience behind why movement improves attention, memory, and academic performance. Experience the protocols yourself first — feel the difference before you learn to deliver it.

The Focus Igniter

3 minutes · Start of class

A standing movement sequence combining cross-body coordination, balance challenges, and rhythmic movement. Learn one version for primary (Classes 1-5) and one for secondary (Classes 6-12).

The Attention Reset

90 seconds · Mid-lesson

A seated micro-movement sequence for when attention drifts (typically 20-25 minutes into a period). Involves eye tracking exercises, seated spinal movements, and a breath-coordination pattern.

Practice component: Teachers pair up and practice delivering both protocols to each other. Dr. Prabhu corrects form, timing, and cueing language in real time.

2
Session 2

Movement for Different Age Groups & Contexts

How to adapt movement protocols to different ages, classroom sizes, and subject contexts. A math teacher's movement break looks different from an English teacher's.

The Classroom Energiser

5 minutes · Post-lunch / low energy

A standing, full-body movement routine. Age-graded into three versions: Primary uses animal movements; Middle School uses coordination challenges; Senior uses functional movement patterns.

The Memory Lock

2 minutes · End of lesson

A movement-based memory consolidation technique. Students perform a specific bilateral movement pattern while verbally recalling key concepts from the lesson.

Practice component: Grouped by grade levels they teach. Each group practices age-appropriate versions. Also learn to modify protocols for students with physical limitations.

Session 3

Posture, Ergonomics & Daily Integration

Identify and correct common postural problems in students. Learn to integrate movement into daily school routines beyond the classroom.

The Posture Check

1 minute · 3-4x daily

A quick whole-class posture correction routine. Teacher calls "Posture check!" and students perform a 4-step seated realignment. Learn to spot the 5 most common student posture issues.

The Exam De-Stress

4 minutes · Before tests / exam season

A breath-and-movement sequence specifically designed for high-stress periods. Combines progressive muscle relaxation with controlled breathing.

Practice component: Learn to conduct a basic visual posture screening of a class. Practice integrating movement cues into existing teaching flow.

Session 4

Practice Teaching, Assessment & Implementation

This is the certification session. Demonstrate your ability to deliver the protocols. Leave with a ready-to-implement movement timetable.

Practice Teaching Rounds

Each participant delivers one complete protocol to a group of peers. Dr. Prabhu evaluates and provides real-time feedback on cueing, timing, energy, and safety.

Movement Timetable

A daily movement schedule mapped to the school timetable. Which protocol goes where, who leads it, and how it fits the school's rhythm.

Student Observation Framework

A simple tracking sheet to record student responsiveness, participation, and observable changes over the first 30 days.

Certification

Complete all 4 sessions and the practice teaching round to receive the MoveEd Foundation Certificate.

The 6 Protocols at a Glance

The Focus Igniter

3 min · Start of class

Activates prefrontal cortex, transitions students into learning state, reduces settling time by 40-60%

The Attention Reset

90 sec · Mid-lesson

Restores attention after cognitive fatigue, prevents the 20-minute drop-off, reduces fidgeting

The Classroom Energiser

5 min · Post-lunch

Reverses the afternoon slump, increases alertness, reduces behavioral incidents

The Memory Lock

2 min · End of lesson

Pairs movement with recall to improve retention by 15-20%, makes revision more effective

The Posture Check

1 min · 3-4x daily

Builds habitual postural awareness, reduces neck/back complaints, improves breathing

The Exam De-Stress

4 min · Before tests

Lowers cortisol, reduces test anxiety, improves working memory under pressure
